Here are a few thoughts of what was accomplished today.
Peace!
My method for staying organized depends largely upon the area where organization is needed.
If it is something that I am very passionate about and I know intuitively how things should flow, organization occurs naturally and easily based upon the most critical factors involved.
I strongly believe in the Pareto Principle where 80% of the success is determined by 20% of the inputs. Other variables typically contribute only 20% of the success.
Too many people major in the minor things and minor in the major areas of any subject or endeavor and wonder why they are getting the results that they are. At this point, the individual, team, or organization literally has to force themselves to do the "wrong" things or things that they really do not believe will contribute to their success.
I have seen this within investing up close and personal after observing it within the accounts of investors who clearly sounded as if they knew what they were doing but whose balances and trades indicated that they did not.
After applying the same logic to my own trading and other areas, the victories produced were so mind-blowing that it would almost make you want to quit the endeavor itself since the new paradigm proved how wrong you once were:)
By default and as time progresses, these observations are making me become a turnaround specialist although I am not too fond of the idea yet.
But where I have seen the opportunity for a turnaround, I am able to usually see which tools, levers, and traits need to be pulled and which ones need to be let go.
Winners be, see, do, and have things that losers refuse to and losers justify themselves by turning their noses down on the actions, behaviors, and mindset that the winners repeatedly use time and time again by declaring that "It is too hard", "I've got other things to do", and "I tried it and it did not work for me".
You have to keep doing the simple things over and over again without any short-terms signs of success if you want to experience the long-term success and victories that winners produce.
Small seeds bear big fruit versus large seeds bearing small fruit.
Keep planting the small seeds of organization second by second and make the necessary adjustments as courageously as you can with the hopes that your new level of organization will provide the breakthroughs that you are looking for.
I have even found such a seed within the Holy Bible within Romans 12:11 where it states:
Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord (KJV);
Be not slow in your work, but be quick in spirit, as the Lord's servants (Bible in Basic English); and
my new favorite translation on this specific verse from the Weymouth New Testament where it reads:
Do not be indolent when zeal is required. Be thoroughly warm-hearted, the Lord's own servants.
The answer was there all the time!
Peace!
Recently I had the pleasure of teaching a Bible study series within our church Bethesda Baptist Church in Austell, GA under the leadership of Senior Pastor Charles B. Goodman that blessed everyone including myself greatly.
The series "Christ Jesus and His Anointing" answers many questions that new Christian converts and even those raised and functioning as members of congregations for decades have wondered about in terms of properly identifying and understanding the ministry, life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The content is not always taught within traditional Protestant churches.
Feel free to listen at your pleasure and ask any questions at anytime. If you wish to obtain a CD or DVD of the audio, just let me know.
The weekly Bible studies at Bethesda usually include songs, prayer, and testimonies before the lessons are taught, so all is included for you to have the full experience as if you were there.
The three parts are uploaded as wave files and they vary in length and part 1 is approximately 1:19 in length. I do plan on uploading the files as MP3s soon also.

To start 2008 off, I have been going through a couple of learning curves and my sleep patterns have been blended to say the least.
Earlier today I took what I thought would be a nap that disintegrated into a possible hallucination. I knew that my stomach was virtually empty as well but the sleep deprivation won its battle first.
I believe that the last learning curve has ended and a new one beginning which will allow me to get more rest breaks but at a shorter period of time. So it may be a little dicey still but more profitable overall.
But I am having the time of my life:)
Peace!
We brought in the new year in a way that we had not in years--we slept.
Yesterday on New Year's Eve, we took several items to Goodwill drive through donation center and then went inside the store. This may have been the wrong move or the seed was planted earlier somehow.
Once inside, I scanned my usual suspects of books thoroughly and picked up a few to sort through again before making my final selection.
Our oldest daughter suddenly wanted to go home and we had to distract her to get her mind off it.
Then once we walked outside after making a few purchases, you could feel the sun sap the energy away.
We went straight home and had a dinner invitation at a friend's house nearby, but we simply could not hold out any longer.
My wife felt ill upon returning home and then I felt like I had stayed up a week for no apparent reason at all.
We canceled the dinner plans two hours ahead of the scheduled time and knew that going to our church's watch night service was going to be just as difficult in maintaining our strength.
I had a conference call and my phone was on mute the majority of the time since I barely had the energy to hear much less say a few words. The meeting went well and only lasted 36 minutes.
After we ate dinner, our daughters' moods started picking up a little. But I was still going down for the count.
My energy level was below my feet:)
Everyone was in bed slightly after the kids' regular bedtime and we heard major fireworks outside and not too far away at midnight we presume.
Six Flags over Georgia or a church had a resounding set of fireworks heard but we did not get up to check anything out and stayed in bed.
I did get up this morning at 10:55 a.m. after being in our bedroom over 12 hours, so after breakfast I will feel like a champion:)
I hope that your introduction to 2008 was better and I am thoroughly relieved to escape the gravity of 2007.
Next year I will plan to take an afternoon nap on New Year's Eve and eat more often during the morning and midday in order to have more energy. But our grueling schedules just caught up with us at the end of the year.
Peace!
The male chorus sang today at church and afterwards my wife mentioned that we sang better than a few other choirs who sing regularly.
The male chorus sings only on the fifth Sundays.
We ate dinner at Olive Garden after church and went straight home since the rainy weather had a little cold nip on it.
I got a decent nap and have been mellow ever since.
Chilling on a Sunday evening is always a cool groove:)
If the entire 2008 could be like this!
Peace!
Today I was asked the meaning behind my user name Seed Of Life and the name came to me in 1999 I believe when I writing songs for my first CD (way before they were remixed--night and day difference).
I have a music publishing company registered with BMI entitled Seed Of Life Music.
I actually had the domain name as well until I either got lazy or had a cash flow issue so bad that I failed to renew it. A squatter is using the domain now while I have Seedoflifemusic.com that I desperately need to update.
I probably should point the domain to our page on Myspace which has the same user name. My music history is posted there as well.
My main focus of music since my ministry calling on May 1, 1996 has been gospel music although I can still write and compose any type of music.
My songs are called fishnets since they are designed to capture souls for Christ Jesus.
My music ministry formally started in February 2001 at a Black History program at Westside Full Gospel Baptist Church in Carrollton, GA. It was the first time that I actually had performed any of my songs live. The Spirit of the Lord led me to rap the songs versus singing them and the party has been on nonstop to the break of dawn ever since.
There is the beginning of the meaning of the phrase within the Holy Bible and I will say that this post is one that I may need to update since I am scheduled to teach Bible study tonight:)
John 1:1-5 states the following:
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
Christ Jesus is indeed the Seed Of Life and I am just his pen or the water boy carrying the Living Water of Him.
To write lyrics and compose music is undoubtedly a gift from God and when it happens, there is this glow of the Holy Spirit that wicks off me like a flame that I can feel all around me. It is love manifested.
After I once a grown man cry after I read probably the best lyrics to my wife Wyteria on our 6th anniversary with the line "Jesus is a friend of mine and I can see Him in you", I knew that my writing was not my own.
I was too shy as a child to be as bold as I am now. There is no other reason for this strength other than God.
Another Biblical foundation is found throughout Genesis 1 where God created the earth by saying, "Let there be".
Everytime God spoke these words, there is Jesus going forth as the Word and the Holy Spirit which is the power of God manifesting everything.
After I googled the phrase "seed of life" years ago, I began to run across several meanings that only complimented what I had received.
There is a diagram as well that has been taken to another level as the yet-to-be-revealed logo for Seed Of Life Music.
Although I have not been as proficient within some of the organization tasks within my music (as most creative types suffer as well), the things that I do well are life changing because I am changed by them.
Please continue to follow my music career and legacy because to date, it is the richest thing that I have to leave my wife and daughters because the words did not exist before God gave them to me.
Now that I am finally free of corporate America, 2008 and beyond will begin to witness what has been already going on within my music lab, prayer walk, and faith lifestyle.
In Christ, I live, move, and have my being. He is truly my All and All.
Peace!
This week I have been getting up much earlier than my normal wake up times and it has been consistently profitable thus far.
I have been up so early that I have been wearing shades when I first get on the computer:) I do not even want to turn the lights on in order to turn down the monitor light level.
Since a lot of activity follows the market behavior in London, working for brief periods on their schedule helped me pick off opportunities (during regular market hours on both continents) that I would have missed the first time through on east coast time.
It feels almost like baseball in watching a pitcher throw to the batter ahead of you in the lineup when your swinging styles are almost the same.
By the time it is prime time to make my own moves, I am feeling fully alert, warmed up, and ready to go.
One funny thing is the short periods (less than 45 minutes to 1 hour usually) are typically providing enough time to allow me to go back to bed for a nice, little, twilight morning nap before my regular wake up time.
One of Denzel Washington's career principles is being understood more and more:
"Be willing to do things that others will not do in order to do things that others cannot do".
So climbing out of bed in order to avoid a lengthy Atlanta commute, insecure managers that just don't "get it" (like on the tv show "The Office"), and other workplace drama that I have paid my dues to overcome, reduce, and eliminate from my life is absolutely worth it.
I finally have achieved an immigrant work ethic to go along with my MBA in finance:) LOL:)
Praise God!!!

After hearing all the rave reviews on Vox, I have decided to ease into the kiddie end of the Vox pool.
I have met ultra-cool people on Twitter who use Vox, so I am going to close out 2007 with a test drive.
There will be searching for drama on Vox and I am only here to chill, relax, and pass on positive vibes:)
There may be a chance that I will upload some of my own songs here as well.
Peace!
